...And sometimes, you manage to get dug in, get a good flow going, and actually make some progress. Still lots of little detail work to do, but definitely coming along quicker than I thought. I'm also going to sit down and play with some different materials and rendering styles to see if I can shake out something new. More to come!

Time filler - A Beowulf of my own.
I've been doing ship models for quite a while now, and have generally steered away from the 'classic' ships, mostly because I have designs of my own I want to get done. Decided last night I would take a crack at a Beowulf, and it seems to be coming along nicely. I'm also still tinkering with the Tiaflfiet model, but I haven't had a chance to sit down and just dig on it yet. Lot's of other irons in the fire (one of which will be coming up very shortly). So this is, for the moment, my "15 minutes to doodle' model while between other things. More WIP shots to come.

Fired up the software and started playing with ideas for my calendar picture. Rough block workup of one idea. Anybody recognize it? Yes, I'm just blocking it out with the deckplans to see how screwed up they are. And yes, there are issues aplenty - the picture and the deckplans barely agree at all, so some liberties are going to have to be taken. Especially with the boat dock under the neck.
